What to Run This October: Fourteen Twibbonize Campaigns You Should Get Moving
Fourteen October campaign ideas from Sumpah Pemuda and Batik Day to Pink October and a UK Black History Month nobody has claimed yet.

September was about returns. October is about claims.
Three awareness months run at once, Indonesia marks four national dates in four weeks, and the largest October moment on Twibbonize arrives on the 28th. Hari Batik Nasional, World Teachers' Day, Hari Santri Nasional and Hari Sumpah Pemuda all sit in the same four weeks as Pink October, Down Syndrome Awareness Month and Halloween.
Here are fourteen October campaign ideas you can launch this year, twelve of them with live campaigns you can open and study. Launch one to two weeks early so your page is live before people start searching.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October), Throughout October

Campaign type: Cause and Advocacy
The signal: "I wear pink for someone I know." Hospitals, survivor networks, sororities, and workplace wellness teams. Cause campaigns stack through allied networks, so one respected organization sharing pulls in others within days. Pink already carries recognition. Give people a sentence to say beside it.
Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Throughout October

Campaign type: Cause and Advocacy, with a Membership reading for the families themselves
The signal: "This is my kid, and I am not keeping them out of sight." Parent associations, therapy centres, SPED teachers, and inclusion advocates. The 2024 edition by POTADS (Foundation of Parents of Children with Down Syndrome) passed 7,900 supporters. Let the families do the naming.
Black History Month (UK), Throughout October
Campaign type: Membership with a Celebration overlay
The signal: "This is my history." Universities, student unions, NHS trusts, councils, and church groups. Currently, all Black History Month campaigns on Twibbonize are dated to February. Nothing exists yet for the UK's October observance, which means the first good one owns the search results for years.
Hari Kesaktian Pancasila (Pancasila Day), October 1

Campaign type: Celebration
The signal: "I was at this morning's ceremony." Schools, campus organizations, and local offices across Indonesia mark the date. One 2021 Frame passed 85,000 supporters. Celebration campaigns combine high search demand with community channels, so publish before the ceremony rather than after it.
International Day of Older Persons, October 1
Campaign type: Awareness
The signal: "I see them, and they are still here." Care homes, geriatric units, senior clubs, and faith groups.Indonesia's National Older Persons Day falls on 29 May, which is where the volume sits. The October date has eleven campaigns in total, the largest at 107 supporters, and not one of them in English. A serious issue to act on, grab the chance to start the campaign.
Hari Batik Nasional (National Batik Day), October 2

Campaign type: Celebration
The signal: "I wear Batik, and I am proud." Schools, ministries, banks, and companies where everyone arrives in batik that morning. One 2021 Frame passed 38,000 supporters. The photo already exists, because people dress for this day. Design a Frame that leaves the pattern visible.
Oktoberfest, Until October 4

Campaign type: Event
The signal: "I was there, in the lederhosen, with these people." Munich runs to October 4 this year, but the campaigns come from everywhere else: campus organizations, expat clubs, restaurants, and companies running their own Oktoberfest night. Twelve exist in total. Make it a background, not a Frame, because the costume is the point.
World Teachers' Day, October 5

Campaign type: Membership with a Celebration overlay
The signal: "I teach, and someone noticed." National Teachers' Month in the Philippines closes on this date, which makes October 5 the loudest day of the observance. The neighboring country, Cambodia, ran a festive one with 5,997 supporters. Launch two Frames, one for teachers claiming the profession and one for students thanking a specific person.
HUT TNI (Anniversary of Indonesian Armed Forces), October 5

Campaign type: Celebration
The signal: "This anniversary is on my calendar." Alumni and family associations, plus the schools and local offices that mark the date. The 2025 Twibbon Frame passed 15,000 supporters. These move through the organizational staircase, one channel at a time.
World Food Day, October 16

Campaign type: Awareness with a Pledge front end
The signal: "I will not waste it." Food agencies, food banks, school canteens, cooperatives, and farming communities. One 2022 Indonesian Frame reached 3,595 supporters. A pledge about waste gives supporters something to do instead of something to observe.
Hari Santri Nasional (National Santri Day), October 22

Campaign type: Membership
The signal: "I am a santri, and I am proud of it." Pesantren, madrasah, Nahdlatul Ulama branches, and alumni networks. The membership sentiment is strong in this community, as illustrated by Kami Madrasah with their OMI Twibbon. Start the campaign through the santri who already run the group chats.
United Nations Day, October 24

Campaign type: Event with a Membership reading
The signal: "I represent a country, and I argue for its ideals." Schools, Model UN clubs, international programmes, and UN associations. Existing campaigns sit in the hundreds, which is what a school-sized audience looks like. Three hundred supporters inside one school is a full gallery.
Hari Sumpah Pemuda (Indonesian Youth Pledge Day), October 28

Campaign type: Celebration and Membership
The signal: "I am young, and this country is mine to carry." The 2024 campaign pulled 2,314 supporters. Schools, campus organizations, youth wings, and local government each run their own. Publish early, the search traffic starts a week out.
Halloween, October 31

Campaign type: Celebration with an Event overlay
The signal: "Look what we turned ourselves into." Campus organizations, offices, schools, and online communities. Nearly 1,500 Halloween campaigns exist, and the ones that fill up are tied to a specific party or cohort, not to the holiday in general. Name the event, not the date.
Start with one
You do not need fourteen. You need the one your people are already thinking about, and a Frame ready before they go looking for it. Twelve of these have a live campaign to study. Two are empty, which means the first good one wins the search results for years. Pick the moment that fits your community, name it so a supporter would say it out loud, and send it to your most enthusiastic ten first.
