This Eid al-Adha, Turn Your Greeting Card into Twibbon for Thousands

Update your Eid greeting card tradition to a campaign that brings together even more people.

Eid al-Adha is approaching. A huge moment for us to send each other personalized digital greeting cards to honor the day.

Now picture this. You design a single Eid al-Adha campaign and share it on your Instagram. Your followers see it, and then one supporter joins, uploads their photo, posts it to their Instagram Story. Their followers see it, and some of those followers join the same campaign and post their own.

That is what happens when you design a Twibbon as a greeting card. Just with one design and a shareable link, you can deliver Eid al-Adha greetings to thousands of people.

Here’s how you can do it.

Get your design ready

The first thing to do is to prepare the greeting. You can put “Eid Mubarak” or “Happy Eid al-Adha”, others even like to include the hijri year “Eid al-Adha 1447H”. The correct one is the readable one. So make sure your design has enough space for the characters.

The next thing is to use illustrations that are on theme. Remember, a Twibbon is a visual campaign. People usually go for the green and gold color scheme for Eid, complimented with a mosque, Kaba, crescent moon, or ketupat illustration. There are no rules, but be wary of long phrases and excessive decor. For example, Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum is a common Eid prayer. It means “may God accept [this worship] from you and us”, but as an element of your campaign it may be too busy.

Pro tip: the selfie test. Place your face, or anyone that you know, in the design. The face should look like someone gladly wishing you “Happy Eid!”, not a person trapped inside a poster.

Create multiple formats, not just one

Your supporters may want to share your design in many places, having multiple formats will give them more options. Generally you’ll need the 1:1 square that people can upload as a post on X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other websites. Then a 9:16 vertical will be for Instagram stories, Facebook stories, or WhatsApp status.

Instagram stories are where most Eid-sharing happens. It also provides a clickable sticker to put the link to your campaign, here’s how you can do it:

  • Tap your profile photo or swipe right while on your Instagram feed

  • Upload your design and swipe up until a menu appears

  • Look for the “🔗 Link” sticker, paste your campaign link and finish up sharing.

As for Facebook stories or WhatsApp status, clickable link stickers are not available. Instead, you can message the link directly to your friends or family. Something like, “Happy Eid! Get your own greeting card here (insert your Twibbonize Campaign link)”.

That leads us to sharing via personal message. Send the campaign directly to your contacts on WhatsApp or any other apps you frequent, and pop the link to your campaign at the end (or the beginning) of the message.

Regarding captions…

For Eid al-Adha, you may want to write a caption that feels like a personal greeting, not a promotion. This is the space to share a prayer or maybe a little anecdote about what your family does during Eid.

A few thoughtful words will give your campaign more flavors. You may encourage people to use their personal photos, too, because a blank frame is just less likely to make anyone stop their scroll. And of course, always include the campaign link.

One design, thousands of greetings

You could send 200 WhatsApp messages this Eid al-Adha, each would stop at one person. Or you could design one Twibbon with a warm greeting, share it on your Instagram, in Story or feed formats your campaign on their platform of choice, and each share will bring even more people.

Same effort from you. A completely different reach. Just click on the Start a Campaign button here.

“Denver Running Club Twibbon.” Nobody shares that. “I Ran the Denver Half-Marathon — Fall 2026” spread to 130 people in 48 hours. The design was identical. The name was everything.
